Kara Szumski

Kara is the founder of Ease Healing Studio and has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for over two decades. She began her training at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, completed her graduate work at the New England School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and has studied with numerous masters in the field along the way.

Her practice spans Chinese and Japanese acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, with advanced certifications in moxibustion, cupping, prenatal and postpartum care, pediatric treatment, gynecological disorders, and sports medicine. She takes particular pride in the long relationships she has built with her patients, many of whom are now bringing their children and grandchildren to her.

Kara creates an individualized path for every patient. No two visits look quite the same.

Bianca Berrios

Licensed Acupuncturist. Registered Nurse.

Bianca began her career in healthcare as a Registered Nurse, where she developed a deep respect for both the science of medicine and the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care. Working closely with patients, she saw firsthand that healing isn't always achieved through conventional treatments alone.

Today, Bianca integrates her nursing background with the principles of acupuncture to provide thoughtful, individualized care. Her approach bridges Western and Eastern medicine, combining clinical knowledge with time-honored healing techniques to support each patient's path to wellness.

She is passionate about helping people find relief, restore balance, and feel more connected to their bodies. Whether you are seeking support for pain management, stress, or overall well-being, Bianca is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and healing environment for your care.

Paqo Tom, shamanic healing practitioner at Ease Healing Studio

Paqo Tom

Shamanic healing practitioner. Mesa carrier.

Tom is a mesa-carrying shamanic practitioner, trained and initiated across several Indigenous lineages of the Americas. He practices as Luminary Shaman, and came to this work after using these modalities to change his own life.

His sessions combine technique drawn from those lineages with energy work and sound. The focus is on what sits underneath a surface symptom, whether that's unresolved trauma, anxiety, stress, or burnout, rather than on the symptom itself.

Tom sees clients individually and in groups, and each session is shaped around the person in front of him.
